Come join me in an afternoon of art journalling for wellness. I will be working right along with you and you will see step by step what I am doing and how I use products. I will be using some basic supplies so this class is for everyone. Our work will include a theme of gratitude and will include using collage and paint together.
You can art journal on anything. I love to go to the thrift store and find an old book to use. Kids board books are great. You can also use an old gift bag or even a cereal box. If you have a beautiful art journal of course you can use that. Other things that are handy are white gesso, matte medium, a few favourite colours of acrylic paint, old book pages and /or music sheets, a pop bottle lid, rubber stamps and black or dark brown ink if you have it, water colour crayons or pencils, plastic stencils, make up sponge and a few magazines you can cut out of. Extra things I enjoy are acrylic inks, white and black gel pen, fancy napkins, lindy’s magicals, stabilo all pencil.
When it comes to art journaling and any expressive arts it is all about the process. Art journaling reduces stress and allows you to breathe. We are not creating art for a show or a a museum.
