About Kathy
Creating and connecting with nature have always been a part of my life as far back as I can remember. I turn to creating and nature to express myself, to nurture myself, to explore myself and to share with others. When I am creating or in nature I am provided with space to breathe to ground myself, to make sense of life challenges and to honour all that is within and around me.
As we all do, I wear many hats, including: I a woman, an explorer, I am curious compassionate, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, auntie a friend a social worker a coach a mentor and artist and so much more. Each of these parts have integrated and brought me to a place of being Certified in Expressive Arts facilitating, coaching and counselling.
I welcome you to Wild Geese and look forward to providing you with exploration, healing, self-care and creative joy. Expressive arts is for everyone, we are all creative beings.
I wish to acknowledge that we are all on Treaty land and Metis Regions. I am situated on Treaty 7 Region 3 within the historical Northwest Metis homeland. I acknowledge all Nations who live, work and play and help us to steward this land. I honour all the Elders and teachers that have gone before us and all the Elders and Knowledge keeps with us today. I am doing my best to deepen my understanding and take positive actions personally and professionally.
Testimonials
What an exploration! what do we say to ourselves good and bad and what value do we put on that inner voice. Expressive art gives a way to help evaluate our own thoughts
Wild Geese Expressive Arts is such unique experience. Kat will take you on a beautiful journey of self discovery. Even though I don’t have a lot of creative experience I grew to learn that my “art”’was more an expression of myself and a way to reach those parts I haven’t thought about in a long time. Kat expertly guides you through those hidden parts and weaves in art in such a creative way. It was a wonderful experience and a relaxing way to spend an afternoon.
